Welcome to the Wonderful World of Mount Bethel

Our prayer is that as you peruse through our website you will be both enriched and enlightened as we share some insights into our ministry.  God continues to be very good to us; therefore, we celebrate with a tremendous sense of humility realizing how wonderful it is to join God in God’s work.

The mission of Mount Bethel Baptist Church is “to impart the Word of God to humanity and to teach God’s people what the will of God is for their lives; to equip them for a life of service and commitment to Christ; to be an agent of liberation for those who are oppressed; to give hope of eternal life through Jesus Christ.” We at Mount Bethel believe that we have an obligation to live out Jesus’ manifesto as articulated in Luke 4:18,19: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; He hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.”

Therefore, along with all the wonderful ministries we have here at The Mount, we have established affiliated ministries designed to bring Jesus’ words into reality. Mount Bethel Christian AcademyMount Bethel Human Services Corporation, New Visions Community Development Corporation, and Mount Bethel Christian Bookstore.

However, I have heard the Lord saying, “Enlarge the place of your tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations; spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes; for thy shall break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited” (Isa.54:2-3). Therefore, we are looking to expand so that we can better serve God through serving God’s people.

Building IndividualsimgBuilding Individuals
Here at The Mount we believe in developing people into true disciples of Jesus Christ.  When an individual first joins the Ministry s/he must complete four weeks of New Discipleship Training.  The Equipping Center provides members with on-going trainings and lessons in addition to our Sunday Worship and Mid-week Bible Study.  The Bethel Twelve ministry is also used to catch and connect new and old members of the congregation.

Building IndividualsimgBuilding Families
We provide continuous support to our members through our Family Resource Center.  Families that are in need of emergency financial assistance, food, clothing, or need assistance finding a job are directed to our Human Services agency.  We also offer Pre-Marital and Marriage Counseling to our members.

Building IndividualsimgBethel 12 - THE METHOD
Vision: To see every church member living a lifestyle in which they are always investing in another person's life.

Mission: To help church members become disciples that are committed to the work of expanding The Kingdom of God by teaching them to love God, their neighbors and the lost.

Catch Them: New believers are added to the church through personal evangelism, weekend celebration church services, and evangelistic events.

Connect Them: Both new believers and new church members are "plugged in" to the church through the consolidation process. Members of the intake team are assigned to new believers or new members to help enroll them in a weekly Bible Study meeting, bi-weekly life group meeting orientation classes.

Cultivate Them: After completing the consolidation process, the new disciples are required to attend Bible Study weekly, life group meeting bi-weekly and be activity involve in a (1) ministry.

Commission Them: All members will enter the School of Leadership Development, which consist of eight weeks of study. As the disciple progresses through the School of Leaders, he opens his own life group and begins to develop his twelve, taking them through each step of the process of the vision: catching them, consolidating them, discipling them, and eventually sending them "to make disciples of all nations."

Loving God! Loving Each Other! Loving the Lost!
